It May Look Empty Now... Spring has suddenly arrived. After shivering in our thick woolly jumpers for so long, the warm weather arrived and the plants are just beginning to go crazy. It may look bare in the Patch at the moment, but believe me, it won't last for long! |

Honesty Leads the Way The Honesty seedlings we moved when we dug the garden are still alive and well. The stand out as little islands of green amongst a huge brown sea... |

The Buttercups Are Coming...! To the bottom of the photograph, the Honesty plants are growing. But we also have other plant visitors to the Veg Patch - buttercups are trying to muscle in. They have very nice yellow flowers, but their evil plan is to take over the garden. They must be stopped! Garden volunteers, where are you...? |

Poor Strawberry The cold winter has had it's effect on the strawberry plant, as many of its leaves are scorched brown from the cold. However, these outer leaves has saved the inside leaves, which will grow proudly this year to, hopefuly, produce a lot of strawberries. They were very tasty last year, weren't they slugs? |

Such Patience! It is just as well that plants are not always busy and in a hurry like us humans, isn't it? These plants have been waiting very patiently to be planted in the pond area, for almost five weeks! It will be seven by the time we back from the summer holidays. Still, they can just spend their time sunbathing and growing (they have lots of soils around their roots, so they should be fine.) |
