Defrosted
The garden, as it had looked
for a while. Mr S. was hoping that some people would come along soon to
help out.
|
| |
|
The Hippo
Surveys All
The garden has been watched all
winter by the hippo, who has been thinking about what to do in it this
year.

|
|
What's Under
There?
It is activities such as composting
most of the fruit waste in the school that have helped us to become a
successful Eco-School.
|
| |
|
Lovely
Food (For Plants)
It took a lot of digging and
carting the compost from the heap to the garden, but the plants will be
very well fed this year.

|
|
Let's Dig!
At last the community came and,
with great efficiency and gusto, they set to on the garden and had it
dug within just over an hour.
|
| |
|
What A
Dig!
Not long after they arrived,
the garden looked fresh and ready to be planted. With frosts still possible,
we wouldn't plant quite yet.

A Happy
Hippo
The Hippo looked out with pride
at the nwely dug garden.

|
One Day,
These Will Be...
These are how Runner Bean plants
start off, as large, colourful purple and black seeds.
|
|
| |
|
|
What Are
These?
Believe it or not, these will
turn in to large, juicy sweetcorn cobs.
|
| |
|
They're
Small!
Be careful not to sneeze or you
could lose these tiny cabbage seeds.
|
|
| |
|
|
Bring
Out The Sun
Although looking small, these
should turn in to gigantic sunflowers by late summer.
