Who Is This Spiv?

At last - now the secret is known, all secrets come tumbling out. Although excited about moving on to new work and projects, it is with a great tinge of sadness that Mr C. will be leaving his current school and garden. He's had a great time and has loved working with all of the enthusiastic volunteers over the years (all of the last 6 of them - 4 of them with a garden!).

Seen here in a rare photo, fiddling with some runner-beans to make it look as though he knows what he is doing, we caught Mr C. in full gardening action. Naturally, he is slightly disguised as he had been part of a World War II day. So just to point it out clearly, he does not wear a moustache as seen in the photo. It is at this point that you now need to be thinking of Dr Who and how the doctor regenerates. Cue music..............

Regenerated!

.....and the new Doctor (Doctor Garden) appears. Many have said "What a great improvement!" but I try to ignore their comments, even if Mrs A. does make a far better pin-up than Mr. C! This is Mrs A., who has now taken over the helm of the Garden and is looking forward to working with the volunteers to grow a Garden even bigger and better than before! I will be looking forward to hearing all of their news.

The New Hippo

We tried to do some serious work on the last day but we got very side-tracked by some strawberries and cream. Mr. C. was also presented with his new mascot for the new garden where he will be going - The Garden Mole (who's name is not yet known) who showed a liking for strawberries and cream

The Mini-Garden Hippo has known for a while that change is coming and, in the style of a Mini-Garden Hippo, has accepted it in his stride (which is not very big for a Mini-Garden Hippo, but each stride is full of purpose!) Although not available today for comment, I shall be catching up with him next week so he can give me advice for the new garden that I will be going to. At the moment, I don't know what the garden will be like, although I am fairly sure that there will be one. It will be at a brand new school in the city, so the garden will start completely from scratch. How it will take off, no-one knows. But you can be sure that you will be able to find out all about it here!
