Looking
After Our Plants

Almost There! With only 8 days left to go before going on sale, how are our plants doing? We have been busy watering them and making sure that they have everything they need to grow. And grow they have! The Petunias are all now growing flower buds, which should look fantastic on the day of the May Fayre. Mind you, these are the ones that are left. As you'll soon see, most of our plants have been fostered by pupils and their parents and relations. |

I am there! The Geraniums are looking very healthy indeed. Although you can't see it too clearly on this photograph, they are all sending out new, healthy shoots and new flower stalks too! We hope that a number of these will be in flower on the day of the May Fayre. If they're not, they soon will be! |

We're Rooting For You All! Just to prove how well the plants are growing, I turned one over so that you can see the roots which are growing through the base of the pot. It won't be long before they'll grow too big for their pots! |

We're OK, Thank You! This is a photo that was brought in by Lucy, of the plants she is fostering at home. As you can see, they are looking very healthy indeed. Just like the Petunias above, they will hopefully be in full flower for the May Fayre. |

We're All That's Left! Do you remember the huge numbers of trays that we had full of plants a couple of weeks ago? Well, this is all that is left. The rest (I have lost count of how many) are being fostered by the families of seven families in the school. A huge thank you to them all, as they have made the Garden Volunteers' job so much easier. Well, that's not strictly true, as it just means they can put an equal amount of hard work into other areas in the garden... |
